Belyo Lake

Belyo lake is the largerst lake of Khakassia, which consists of two reaches - Bolshoi (Big) and Maly (Small).

Surface area: 75 square kilometers

Shoreline: 66 kilometers

Depth: 48 meters

Landscape

Belyo lake is surrounded by steppe, birch and larch groves, bushes. On the west side of the Bolshoi Reach the Tuim river flows into the Bolshoi Reach.

Where to stay
Wild
Wild beach is located on the west shore of Maly Reach a 2,5 km from isthmus. You can stay wild on the east and north shores of Maly Reach, but there is no access ways to the shore. Car parking at the distance closer than 50 meters from the shore is PROHIBITED.

If you will stay wild you should take along some drinking water, wood or coal to make a fire, anti-mosquito spray, warm clothes.

Things to do

Beach Vocation

Belyo lake beaches are mainly stones or pebbles. The lake water is clean and clear, mineralized, with sodium sulphate or Glauber's salt. The water of Maly Reach is salty than the water of Bolshoi Reach, because Tuim river flows into the Bolshoi Reach. The swimming season starts from June to August, but the water is heated only to the mid July.

Active Vocation
There are a lot of sports courts to play voleyball or pingpong. Sports equipment rental is at your service.
Water slides, scooters, jet skis, catamarans, water sleds. Surf Club operates on the Bolshoi Reach.

Fishing
Pearch, chum salmon and trout. But fish population is not big, that is why this place is not really good for fishing.
