Landscape

Oshkol lake is located in scenic place of the Chyorny Iyus river valley. On the west and east sides there are slopes of Angara ridge and spurs of Kuznetsk Alatau. The south and north shores are swamped. Lake surroundings are steppe landscapes, changing to the mountain slopes in the larch-birch forest.

Where to stay 
Wild
You can stay only on the east and west shores of the Oshkol lake, because the north and south shores are swamped. To get to the east shore is easier way, because along the east shore the Route "Kopyevo-Gaidarovsk" runs. But the west shore is more interesting, because there is no wind and the forest grows. But it is difficult to get to the west shore, especially in wet weather.

The water is warm, clean and clear. The shores are slightly sloping, smooth lakefloor.
